The superconscious mind [Aumakua]
Aumakua (Ah-oo-ma-KOO-ah) is that part of you that is connected directly to the Divine Force. Some people call it the High Self. Another term is Guardian Angel. Aumakua is all of these and much more!
Max Freedom Long defined Aumakua as “The Utterly Trustworthy Parental Spirit”. For Aumakua has both negative and positive polarities, both Mother and Father attributes. You could say that Aumakua is “Mother-Father-God.” Each of us has a personal Aumakua. Each family group has an Aumakua, each species, each element, and each planet, and so on throughout the Universe.
The ancient Kahuna taught that we, in our finite minds, could not even conceive of the infinite power of Spirit. We are able to understand this spiritual level and Aumakua who dwells there. Beyond this level there are higher and higher levels that are beyond normal understanding until we return to the One Source.
In the great continuum of life, we are in the process of evolving to higher and higher levels. When Unihipili attains a certain level of understanding, it evolves or graduates to the next level- that of Uhane. When Uhane attains the next level of understanding, it reaches out and merges with its Soul Mate, a male or female Uhane, and becomes a combined Aumakua. Aumakua continues evolving upward following this same pattern. It has a great compassion and love for you.
Aumakua is as close as your very breath. It is always connected to the kino, the physical body, through the Silver Cord, but it dwells in the spiritual plane. The body of Aumakua is made of Light. We can often see the body of Aumakua as a glowing sphere of light.
Since Aumakua is your direct connection to Spirit, all prayers go first to Aumakua. If Aumakua is not able to create the answer to your prayer, it will enlist the aid of other Aumakua. When two or more people are gathered together, their Aumakua also come together. When people pray together in a group, all their Aumakua are present. This great gathering of Aumakua [Poe Aumakua] work together to answer the group prayer. That is the reason prayers said by many people at the same time are so powerful.
Aumakua has the power of realization. To realize is to make actual. Aumakua has the power to bring desire into form! This is the incredible power of creation. However, Aumakua will not interfere with the desires of the other two Selves unless it is asked. In other words, each person has free will. How we use our free will is one of the great challenges in this world.
Aumakua is not bound by space or time. It knows the past, present and the future that has already been crystallized. Aumakua has the ability to change the physical. That means all healing comes from Aumakua. Your Unihipili has the only direct connection to your Aumakua. And since Unihipili is in charge of your physical body, the two parts must work closely together to keep you in good health.
Aumakua is a wonderful, powerful part of your being. It desires to give you all the good things you want to make you happy, healthy and prosperous. By bringing all three Selves together in harmony, you can achieve all of these and more.
